It is truly a blessing to be deemed worthy to serve the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and build up a body worthy of God. It is my hope that you may truly know God, and be be known by God (Galatians 4:9, 1 Cor.8:3). It is my duty to make known the mystery of God, which is revealed only in His Word to those who seek it all all their heart. It is all the more imperative, now more than ever, that we hold firmly to our faith as the times grow more opposed to the Word of the Creator. We can no longer naively expect that the very world that crucified Jesus Christ, is going to respect our faith and ignore the truth that convicts their darkened hearts. The Gospel that convicts both unbelievers and those that foolishly think that salvation can be attained through self-righteous and worldly practices. We are children of God and we know that the only way to please God, and be saved from His wrath is by faith (Hebrews 11:6). We are obligated to share God’s Truth with all men, that they can know God and be saved through faith in the Truth. Now is hardly the time for us to shrink back and compromise with godless, worldly philosophies and empty religious routines that trivialize the power of the Word of God (Romans 12:2). We cannot be at peace with a world that hates God, and refuses to acknowledge His sovereignty (James 4:4, 1 John 2:15). We are ambassadors of Heaven and our unrelenting faith, even in the face of extreme troubles, is a testimony to the hope and confidence we have in God’s promises (2 Corinthians 5:20, 2 Corinthians 1:20, Deuteronomy 31:6-8).
It is a fact that we will be subject to unfair, unjust and undue troubles because of our faith, but we must stand firm for we are receiving the goal of our faith; the salvation of our souls (1 Peter 1:9, James 1:2-4, John 16:33). We must remain ever mindful of the life of Christ Jesus and the example He gave us of how to serve God, not ourselves (1 Peter 2:21).
We cannot settle with being a secret society of “Believers”, who only worship God on weekends under the false sense of safety and holiness that we have been taught to believe. We must come out of the confines of religion and seek a fruitful relationship with our Creator and that can only occur through the Holy Spirit, which is promised to all that obey His Word (John 14:15-17). We are the Church of the living God and He will use the faithful as His shepherds and instruments of righteousness, if you hold on to His Truth and let go of the lies that lead men to condemnation (1 Corinthians 3:9, 3:16, 1 Corinthians 6:19, Galatians 3:11, Ezekiel 34:11-16). Playing “church” amongst ourselves does nothing to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, nor does it give God the opportunity to be glorified before the world. We are supposed to be lights in a dark world, and it is our duty to shine like stars in the universe. We must shine the light of hope ans Salvation and free the captives who have been lost in darkness all their lives (Philippians 2:15). Don’t get me wrong, Christians need not look for trouble in this world, for trouble will find us because the light of truth shines brightly in the darkness, that is this world. Jesus said the world would hate us as it hated Him, so we should not be surprised at the fiery trials that will come our way (John 15:18, 1 Peter 4:12). 2 Timothy 3:12 says; “In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted”. Acts 14:22 says; “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God”.
We are soldiers in the army of the Lord, and we must be well prepared and fully equipped to defend the Kingdom of Heaven in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 2:3-4). The time is now and the victory is yours in Christ. Remember: Faith without action is dead (James 2:26).
To live is Christ and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21).
Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Ephesians 6:10-17.
You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised. For, “In just a little while, He who is coming will come and will not delay.” And, “But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.” But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved. Hebrews 10:36-39
